Journal Cycle 5 #17 BAND ONLY

Write a commercial script or outline.  Include: title, product name or type, characters, setting, and dialogue.

*All journals must be at least 1 page.  Focus on proper grammar, punctuation, and other proper writing conventions.

 Wednesday, March 20 (Period 4, 6)

Journal Cycle 5 #17 2nd Period Orchestra ONLY

Write a 4 measure piece of music in 4/4 time and in the key of D Major.  Use regular notebook paper to draw a 5 line staff first, then add your clef sign (treble, alto, or bass), key signature (F#,C#), and barlines to separate the measures.  Only use half notes, half rests, quarter notes, quarter rests, whole notes, and whole rests. Place a double barline at the end of the piece.  Play your piece as you compose it.  Make changes as you go.  Remember, writing a piece of music is just like writing a story.  The first thing you write usually needs to be revised or edited.  Have fun!

Due Monday, March 18 (Period 2)
